Kathmandu. In Nepal too, the infection of black fungus has started to be seen in the infected corona.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Krishna Poudel said that the infection started from Birgunj and was seen in Banke, Kathmandu and other cities.

A 67-year-old man was infected with black fungus in Birgunj in the third week of April. But now 12 people have been confirmed infected with the corona.

While testing three people in Birgunj, two people have been confirmed to have black fungus. Similarly, three people at Bheri Hospital in Banke were found to be infected with black fungus. According to Rajan Pandey, Black Fungal infection has appeared in the patients who have recovered Kovid-19 in Nepal as well. Patients with severe covidosis who have taken steroids and antibiotics are more likely to develop black fungal infections once they are free of the infection, he said.

Dr. Yogendra Neupane, general secretary of the Association of Nephrologists and Ear and Throat Specialist at the Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, estimates that the number of infections will increase from 100 to 150 within a month.
