There are many variants of bird flu. However, the infection was not seen in people working in poultry farms. The virus was not detected in tests performed on other people who came in contact with the infected person.
China's National Health Commission (NHC) said on Tuesday that a bird flu patient living in Xinjiang had been hospitalized on April 28. One month later, he was diagnosed with H10N3.
