Kathmandu. China is building a hypersonic tunnel to test a flying hypersonic aircraft. The aircraft will be tested at a speed of 23,000 miles per hour, or 37,012 kilometers per hour, in the tunnel.

"The test of the aircraft in the JF-22 tunnel will be 30 times faster than the speed of sound," said Han Guilai, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in an online lecture.

With this new technology, it is possible to fly to any country in the world in two hours or less with superfast jet aircraft.

According to the South China Morning Post, China, the United States and Russia have been investing heavily in the development of hypersonic flight technology, including missiles.
