Corona virus Delta Plus infection raising in India, High risk of a third wave  in Nepal

Kathmandu. The risk of a third is high as the second wave of corona infection is not over. It has appeared in India, USA, UK, Switzerland, Japan, Portugal, Poland, Russia and other countries. Delta Plus infection has been found in 12 states of India. According to Indian media, delta virus infections are on the rise in eight states.

In the first and second wave, more infections were found in older and older people. The Ministry of Health has instructed all hospitals (government, private, cooperative and community) to keep at least 20 percent of the approved beds ready for the treatment of the third and fourth wave of corona.

However, in the third wave of infection, experts estimate that children will be affected by the Delta and Delta Plus variants. The infection of Delta Plus has been confirmed in 10 countries including Nepal, the ministry said.

According to Dr. Prakash Ghimire, a professor at Tribhuvan University and a microbiologist, about 70 percent of the world's infections have been caused by Delta and Delta Plus. Infection of Delta Plus, which is rapidly spreading in neighboring India, has also been found in Nepal.
