Kathmandu. Now, microfinance financial institutions will also be able to issue bonds. Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Maha Prasad Adhikari said that the monetary policy for the current fiscal year will be made public.
At the same time, microfinance institutions will be able to issue bonds up to 25 percent of the paid-up capital from the current fiscal year. Microfinance companies are also allowed to issue bonds equal to 25 percent of their working capital. Earlier, apart from microfinance, commerce, development and finance companies were allowed to issue bonds.
