Kathmandu. National Hydropower Company Limited (NHPC) is going to issue right shares to raise investment for two hydropower projects under construction. NHPC has applied to the Electricity Regulatory Commission for the approval of right share issue worth Rs. 820 million. NHPC is preparing to go for Nepal Securities after the approval of the commission.

National Hydropower Company Limited (NHPC) is going to distribute up to 20 percent dividend to the shareholders. The company has decided to give up to 20 percent bonus share after the right back of Rs 617.2 million from the investment made in Sunkoshi Hydropower. Chairman Kumar Pandey said that the company can give up to 20 percent bonus share after the amount is right back. He said that the issue of paying dividend has been clarified in the financial statements of the last fiscal year.

National has received a letter of intent for the Lower Indravati Project from the competition. He is in the process of getting a license. He said that he would right-back the investment amount by merging Sunkoshi Hydropower or other processes through legal process.
