Kathmandu. Rabi Lamichhane has obtained Nepali citizenship. He reached the district administration office in Kathmandu and obtained Nepali citizenship through the process of recovery.

He took the certificate of Nepali citizenship after submitting his claim of renouncing American citizenship at the district administration office in Kathmandu. He has been given a citizenship certificate by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu.

Ravi Lamichhane has returned his passport after regaining citizenship. After taking the citizenship from the district administration office Kathmandu on Sunday, he returned the passport that he had taken using the inactive citizenship to the passport department.

According to the order of the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court last Friday, Lamichhane lost his position as deputy prime minister and home minister after renouncing his American citizenship.
