Kathmandu. Prime Commercial Bank has earned more than 2 billion net profit. The fourth quarter financial statement of the last financial year 2079/80 released by the bank. During the period under review, the bank earned a profit of 2.26 billion 31.54 thousand rupees. However, compared to the previous year, the profit of the bank has decreased. Especially due to the epidemic of Covid-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war, it has had a negative impact on the world economy. Due to the lack of liquidity in Nepal's economy, there is a lack of economic activity.

There has been some contraction in the overall banking sector business. According to the bank, these and other reasons have affected the profit of Prime Bank. Assessing the negative impact on the country's current economy and industrial businesses, the bank has made adequate loan loss arrangements to strengthen its financial condition. Which shows some contraction in net profit compared to last year.

In the fourth quarter of the previous year, the bank made a net profit of 2.78 billion 73.36 thousand rupees. During the review period, the net interest income of the bank increased by 17.77 percent and reached 7 billion 27 billion 79 lakh 43 thousand rupees.

During the period under review, bank deposits increased by 7.95 percent over last year. Last year, the bank collected 1 trillion 78 billion 56 million. Bank's loan investment also increased by 5.26 percent and reached 1 trillion 63 billion 60 million. The distributable profit of the bank is 20 million 48 lakh 39 thousand rupees.

The paid-up capital of the bank is 19 billion 40 million 25 million 75 thousand rupees, reserve fund is 8 billion 80 million 77 million 15 thousand rupees. However, the bank's bad loans are 4.23 percent. The income per share of the bank is 11 rupees 66 paisa and the net worth per share is 146 rupees 45 paisa.
