Preparing to pay Corona's insurance through one door system

There have been two cases in the Supreme Court regarding covid insurance. The writ petition has been filed saying that the provision that the insurance company will collect the fee (premium) in the name of Corona Insurance but the insurance company will not have to bear more than Rs 1 billion is not appropriate. Therefore, it has been demanded in the writ that the financial liability of the insurance to be taken by the Insurance Committee and the government should be revoked by the order of remittance.

The claim payment of Covid-19 will be done through one door system. The Insurance Committee is doing its homework to make arrangements for payment of claims through one-door system. A high-level committee has informed that a new arrangement regarding payment of claims of Kovid-19 will come by next week. After the Insurance Committee last amended the Covid-19 insurance standard 2077 on August 12, the payment of Corona insurance claims has been made through one-door system since August 12. The committee had implemented the COVID-19 standard on July 6. However, the companies have already issued Covid Insurance Accounts since April 22.

As the insurance is done through the bridge, now there is an arrangement to pay only after sending the file to the bridge and verifying it before paying the Corona insurance claim. As this process is cumbersome, a new process has been initiated to make the claim payment process faster and simpler. The committee is confident that the payment of claims will be quick and easy by creating a one-door system.

Companies currently have a long line to pay for Corona insurance claims. As it is difficult for the companies to arrange the payment of claims in this difficult situation, it has been stated that all the companies will be comfortable and their daily work will not be affected by the one-door system. Although the corona insurance criteria states that the claim must be paid within 7 days of completion of all the documents, the insured has not been able to receive the amount for almost a month.

Also, the claim payment process has been stopped till August 12 after the criteria was amended. According to the Corona Insurance Criteria issued by the Insurance Committee, all claims that have been registered since August 12 have been stopped.
