Kathmandu. Banks and financial institutions to maintain the services of some of their branches has been removed even on the day of Dashain Tika and other days before and after. Banks and Financial Institutions Regulation Department of Nepal Rastra Bank has given this instruction to banks and financial institutions of categories A, B and C .

Rastra Bank has issued a notice on 6th June 2075 that all licensed banks and financial institutions shall conduct revenue transactions throughout the year on the 25th of the last week of October, January, March and June and until the end of the following public holidays, including Saturdays, for the purpose of collecting revenue. For the purpose of clearing checks, all banks, other banks and financial institutions and Nepal Clearing House were opened on a full-time basis and arrangements were made for revenue collection. Based on this arrangement, banks and financial institutions have to open fully till the end of Vijayadashami, which falls on 26th Vijayadashami this time, and after 25th Ashoj, but the central bank has given them a discount.

Now, since Vijayadashami falls in the last week of the first quarter of 2081 and the offices will be open on Ashoj 29, 30 after that, it is not mandatory to keep the office open after Ashoj 25 for 2081.

With this circular, the fear of the employees of banks and financial institutions whether they will have to work during festivals like Dashain has come to an end. Now they happily able to celebrate the festival with their families.
